Guantanamo Bay Closing
I believe that Guantanamo Bay should have remained open. There are cons to the idea of Guantanamo remaining open and it is important that we take that into consideration, but I believe that a better option to closing it would be simply changing some rules and regulations of Guantanamo. Closing Guantanamo is almost assuredly freeing a good number of terrorists that will most likely follow the trend already set by former terrorists, which is to step back in to terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda. In Jennifer’s essay I can see where she would view the case of Pedilla as unfair, but can America really risk the security of the entire nation for fairness? Being fair is important but not as important as national security.
