Persuasive Paragraph

Food is becoming an unaffordable expense to families all around La Crosse. These families go to the food pantries in the area for their meals when times are literally too rough to buy food. There are around 2,900 families each year that are served by the Wafer in La Crosse, and if you have any extra to give at all please donate to the food shelters here. Even Though we are struggling college students, I assure you we can afford to feed a few more mouths a couple days out of every month. This can be as simple as buying a twelve pack of Ramen noodles and fiving it to the food drive. That is twelve meals for less than two dollars. Please consider helping the families of La Crosse that aren’t as fortunate as us.

Many people become obsessed with appearance. For example, anorexia and bulimia has become a major problem. I personally know a very large number of people who have had an eating disorder at one time. I continue to find out that long time friends of mine have had eating disorders as well. Another example is the people we know as stars. Famous people almost always look good, and it seems obvious that people like the more attractive famous people more than the less fortunate. Some stars even have insurance on specific features such as legs. My personal feelings are that people value looks over many things such as personality, or talent in a star’s situation, and that shouldn’t be.
